Abstract

Early childhood education oral language language acquisition young children child development verbal ability verbal communication verbal development preschool children
Most young children achieve oral language developmental milestones naturally; however, there are some young children who need extra assistance. In my experience working with 2-3-year-old children in an early childhood service, I have observed a large variation in children's oral language ranging from some children who speak in complex sentences for a range of purposes, to other children who are not using oral language at all.
