Practical classroom activities for changing learners' attitudes towards narrative writing
English Australia Journal, Vol.26(1), pp.91-94
2010
Abstract
Of all the four skills, writing must surely be the most complex and cognitively-demanding activity undertaken by English language learners worldwide. As White and Arndt (1991, p. 3) emphasise: Writing is far from being a simple matter of transcribing language into written symbols: it is a thinking process in its own right. It demands conscious intellectual effort, which usually has to be sustained over a considerable period of time.
