Mimiwhangata Site Survey

Abstract
A survey of a 2000 acre coastal farm at Mimiwhangata in Northland found evidence of 96 archaeological sites. These sites ranged from prehistoric and historic fortifications, burial, garden sites, terraces, pits, middens, and ditches. The survey increased the number of known sites recorded on the national registry by 86.
