Abstract

Plant Biology Pisum sativum L garden pea gibberellin metabolism gibberellin A internode length length mutants
The metabolism of [3H] GA, was examined in the wild type and six internode length mutants of Pisum sativum L. The mutants included short gibberellin (GA) synthesis types (le, lh) and GA sensitivity types (lk, lka, lw) as well as the elongated slender type (la cry'). The pattern of [3H] GA, metabolism appeared similar in all genotypes examined, with the major metabolite co-eluting with GAB. These results provide no evidence that GA, reception and action is dependent on GA, metabolism in peas.
