Indigenous imprint: Multimedia/intermedia strategies as an Indigenous dissemination tool for practice-based research
Ngoonjook, (32), pp.51-55
2008
Abstract
The following is a personal commentary relating a part of my journey as an Indigenous researcher working largely outside of the field of Indigenous studies. I have attempted to avoid broad claims to the Indigenous academic experience; it is the strength of this kind of discourse that the observations are anecdotal, experiential moments directly related to individual research solutions. The primary aim of this commentary is to encourage Indigenous researchers, research students and their non-Indigenous colleagues to consider disseminating research in ways that encourage our knowledge systems, rather than perpetuating the remedialisation of Indigenous practice in our academic journeys.
