Abstract

Huntington's disease long-term care HCAs APs
This is the second part in a series on Huntington's disease (HD). HD is a hereditary neuro-degenerative disorder of the central nervous system requiring supportive and palliative care. Part two offers care suggestions for healthcare assistants (HCAs) and assistant practitioners (APs) working with people with HD. Two HCA case studies are provided to illustrate the challenges and rewards they face in working with people with HD.
