Graduating nurses' self-efficacy in palliative care practice: An exploratory study
Nurse Education Today, Vol.39, pp.141-146
2016
Abstract
Highlights: We examined published palliative care graduate capabilities versus graduating nursing students' self-efficacy to deliver palliative care. We found that graduating nursing students may not be fully prepared for palliative care practice. We recommend education interventions and approaches to program evaluation are further developed to better support students' growth of self-efficacy in undertaking their graduate roles.
