Abstract

Nursing not elsewhere classified clinical placement nursing student competence work ready economic evaluation cost analysis
HIGHLIGHTS: Inconsistency of nomenclature of clinical placements impacts comparison of models for efficacy. Limited reporting of pedagogical frameworks underpinning clinical placements. Cost analyses of clinical placements is required to better inform decision making. Standardised classification system proposed with four discrete clinical placement models.
