Abstract
This paper describes the development of an emotional social network. This network enables people to share their emotional state with their social group, and provides a facility for them to respond to the emotional states of others. The system provides the ability to play back historical emotional data, enhancing emotional communication between the users of the system. By enabling the communication of real emotional state between members of a social group, this system can provide valuable insight into emotional behaviour and empathetic response using technology.
