A rapid method for fluoride analysis of treated wood
Forest Products Journal, Vol.53(5), pp.43-45
2003
Abstract
A method for analyzing fluoride in wood by extraction in place of ashing was evaluated. Douglas-fir heartwood and ponderosa pine sapwood treated with various levels of fluoride were used for the analysis. Although the method tended to underestimate fluoride levels slightly, the time required for the assay was shorter than the current standard method, thus allowing the analysis of a greater number of samples.
