Abstract
The Brain-Behaviour Research Institute was commissioned early in 1982 to undertake a large?scale scientific survey of the quality of life of three?shift rotating shiftworkers in the State Electricity Commission of Victoria by a joint working party of SECV management and workers' unions. A committee comprising Professor George Singer of La Trobe University, Mr Gordon Rowland of the SECV and Mr Nick Calabrese of the Occupational Health and Safety Unit of the ACTU was set up to oversee the project. The primary aim was to determine if any differences could be found between the responses of rotating shiftworkers and dayworkers in order to assess possible effects of rotating shiftwork on SECV employees. 1983 Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI)
