Abstract
This groundbreaking research within the field of social work provides a space to explore language around non-human animals, in particular horses, and how they are involved in animal assisted practice. The implications for multispecies social work are discussed out of a rigourous discource analysis method. Througout this research the question of non-human animals within social work practice, research and ethics is considered.
