Abstract
The Official Journal of the Australian Rehabilitation Nurses’ Association (JARNA) is our professional journal making visible rehabilitation nursing practice and - let’s be honest - it has hit a bit of a slump. In 2023 there was one issue of JARNA published with three articles and an editorial. Without content, JARNA is at a point in time where we, the members, either contribute by publishing or let the journal perish. It is perhaps timely to look back at JARNA’s evolution so we can see where the journal came from and how it has progressed over the years. More importantly, a look at JARNA’s history may provide members with inspiration and imagination to contribute content which will help to move the journal forward and keep it viable.
