Mindfulness-based interventions have received considerable support as complementary treatments for cancer patients. Few studies have evaluated or explored cancer patients' experiences within mindfulness programs such as the Mindfulness-Based Cancer Recovery (MBCR) proram. The aim of this mixed methods quasi-experimental study was to evaluate a trial of the MBCR program and to explore 14 cancer patients' experiences of participating in the program. Data were collected for 10 participants using pre-post questionnaires and 7 participants completed a focus group interview.
