Abstract
This teach-chat will incorporate filmed scenes from a verbatim drama based on the lived experience of women casual academics. The drama is based on the lived experience of six women casual academics from across three different universities; each of whom discuss what drew them to sessional teaching and the joys and challenges they experience as 'sessionals'. Gail will highlight the main themes that emerge from the verbatim drama and discuss the implications for staffing policy, professional development and the student learning experience.
