Abstract
The School of Health - Observe a Peer Teaching initiative (OPT-in) supports professional growth by encouraging teachers to observe and learn from each other. This program aligns with the UniSC Academic Performance Standards Framework and focuses on improving the design and delivery of learning activities, fostering productive learning environments, and enhancing assessment practices. By visiting each other's classes, either in person, online, or through recorded videos, teachers can gain new insights, exchange feedback, and reflect on their teaching methods. Originating from a successful pilot in the School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Paramedicine, OPT-in is now available to all School of Health academic staff across the 11 disciplines, both permanent and sessional. This initiative promotes self-reflection, collegial dialogue, and a community dedicated to teaching excellence, ultimately benefiting both educators and students.
