Abstract

Tourism
This paper will examine the Nagano Winter Olympics, 1998, to analyze the effectiveness of the marketing strategy for the event focusing on the initiatives taken by the National Olympic Committee of Japan (JOC) during the games. The purpose of this study is to obtain recommendations for the successful holding of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang in South Korea.
