Abstract
Presentation and workshop with three areas of discussions around engaging late career pharmacists (LCP): 1) Have we provided LCPs with necessary strategies to learn? Have we taught them/assessed their skills for learning, eg reflection, self-assessment. Do they understand and know how to use the CPD process in a way to benefit their learning? 2) What motivates them to learn? Which intrinsic/extrinsic factors are likely to motivate this group of pharmacists? Are they provided with access to appropriate collaborative learning opportunities?(consider how this may compare to that given to younger pharmacists) What current learning approaches are utilised in this group and are they ideal? What will prevent this group of pharmacists from learning? 3) Which intrinsic/extrinsic factors are likely to prevent learning and engagement in this group of pharmacists? How could these issues be addressed?
