Academic leadership involves strategic investment in its faculty and staff to deliver community impact and foster external engagement to support creativity, innovation and capacity building within its teaching and research activities. This conceptual framework proposes four core pillars: promoting exceptional teaching to create adaptable graduates, supporting faculty and students with flexible organisational environments to meet strategic objectives, cultivating a thriving research ecosystem through external partnerships, and investing in institutional capacity building to create a sustainable future.
