Abstract
Fast Truck is an optimised forest transportation planning tool developed within the CRC for Forestry and carried on by AFORA. Based on information provided by the user on the transport task the tool provided a schedule that meets the delivery demands at the lowest cost. Over the last year AFORA has been working with partners on the application of the model and working with logistics provider ASSET to apply the optimisation principles in real time operations management. Through this workshop you will be exposed to the experiences of these development trials and learn what is required to implement the planning tool in your operations and the potential impacts.
