Abstract
Ly Son is an island district located in the northeastern sea of Quang Ngai province with a natural area of 10.32 km². This is an island district with many potentials for tourism development. In recent years, Ly Son tourism has achieved remarkable achievements. However, the tourism industry still has many shortcomings, great tourism potentials but has not been invested properly; The tourism labor force is still lacking in quantity and weak in quality; tourism exploitation is mostly in tourism in nature ... so the revenue of the industry is not high. Besides, the exploitation of resources for tourism is not really sustainable, hidden many risks of early degradation of resources. In this article, we conduct an assessment of the sustainability of tourism in Ly Son island district, Quang Ngai province in the past years in terms of economy, society and environment. Since then, propose some solutions to contribute to tourism development of Ly Son island district in a more sustainable and effective manner.
