Abstract

Design Practice and Management flipped classroom (FC) Flipped Classroom Student Engagement Questionnaire (FCSEQ) student engagement learning
This presentation will report on the development of the Flipped Classroom (FC) Student Engagement Questionnaire (FCSEQ), to evaluate the impact of the FC on student engagement in learning. The FCSEQ aims to assess students' overall level of engagement in a course, level of pre-class engagement with the FC approach, in class activities, and level of post-class engagement. It is based on six course-level constructs and related indicators found in the literature: skills engagement; participation/interaction engagement; emotional engagement; performance engagement; active and collaborative learnings; and total time on task. Formative findings from its first administration will be presented.
