Engage Research Cluster - become involved, informed and inspired to change the world
USC Research Conference, 2013 (Sunshine Coast, Australia, 01-Jul-2013–05-Jul-2013)
University of the Sunshine Coast
2013
Abstract
In early 2013, Engage Research was recognised as a research strength at USC. We research and develop interactive technologies such as computer games, smart-phone and tablet applications, social media and artworks, to engage and promote social change. Since then it has been an exciting ride for the team. We will have a large purpose built research space in the new building (Building E) including an audio and video recording studio, high tech meeting rooms and large open plan research and design space for researchers (including staff, Ras, partners and HDRs). We have also taken a lead in the design and proposed use ofthe high definition immersive CAVE. The Engage Research spaces will be open to all staff and students across USC, as well as external partners, to experience the very latest technologies including full motion tracking, head mounted displays, our games and large scale interactive tables. Furthermore Engage Research will be showcasing our latest projects in the USC Gallery between 11th July and 17th August 2013. Follow what we are doing at www.engageresearch.org, Facebook: www.facebook.com/ EngageResearch, and Twitter: @Engage_Research.
