Abstract
This workshop aims to explore the outcomes of a research program regarding biosecurity on outdoor environmental education programs in Australia. The presentation will also highlight ways in which outdoor environmental educators can educate others about biosecurity measures, implement soil hygiene practices and advocate for environmental justice and stewardship through restoration projects with Custodians on Country. OES Threshold concept 3: Outdoor educators are place-responsive and see their work as a social, cultural and environmental endeavour. OES Threshold concept 4: Outdoor educators advocate for social and environmental justice. OES Threshold concept 7: Outdoor educators routinely engage in reflective practice.
