Climate change poses issues for Outdoor Education (OE) on multiple fronts. It challenges notions of business as usual by impacting program planning and the places we visit. Furthermore, the scale and extremity of the issue provokes potential reconsideration of the educational focus of our practice. Despite this, OE is yet to respond in any significant way to the climate crises. In this presentation, we will workshop openings for confronting climate change through OE learning and teaching practices. We will discuss ideas for shaping teaching, learning and curriculum with climate in mind.
