Abstract
The fifth and final event of the SERVSIG 2020 Virtual Conference is the Panel Session 2: The moral limits of service markets: just because we can, should we?
This panel is inspired by the book What money can’t buy: The moral limits of markets by Michael Sandel which raises ethical questions about how far markets should go in the pursuit of profit.
In this panel, we have speakers who work in hospitals, provide work opportunities for women rescued from sex trafficking, develop alcohol minimisation programs and enhance indigenous inclusion. They will raise ethical dilemmas they have observed in the service design and delivery in their fields and offer commentary on the question “the moral limits of service markets: just because we can, should we?”
This panel is the final in the SERVSIG2020 conference webinar series and will be thought-provoking and inspiring. Our experts have both academic and practical experience in their fields and bring a unique perspective to the services research field.
