Abstract
The Sustainability Research Centre (SRC) has established a national profile (and emerging international profile) as a leader in climate change adaptation research-as demonstrated by: (i) partnering on successful multi-million dollar research projects; {ii) numerous publications in journals; (iii) invitations to SRC staff to speak on the topic; (iv) leading roles within national networks; and (v) gaining other forms of national recognition such as awards for past research efforts. However, the SRC also has research expertise in a range of other domains. For example, some other recent projects relate to natural and cultural heritage; education for sustainability; and sustainability indicators. Another significant national project for the SRC relates to integrated coastal zone management. The common feature to all SRC research is a focus on the transformation of society towards sustainability.
