Abstract
Since the 1990’s advances in technology and scientific research have provided new insights into the neurological development of children. Much of what we now know suggests that the foundations for any educational endeavour require practitioners to have a sound understanding of brain development. This presentation unpacks some of the most current research available and offers insights and ideas for ensuring that the earliest experiences in a child’s life provides the foundation for ‘building a healthy mind’.
