Abstract
An understanding of systems can be used to make sense of the dynamic processes that underlie our basic human characteristics and the constraints that form attractors of being. Those attractors constellate from the A-field as vortices to hold our essence of being; our dasein together. Mythology is a deep expression of those same dynamic processes that help give us meaning to our experience. Mythologies are formed through shared dialogue within cultural groups creating a shared sense of meaning as a foundation for their ongoing adaptation and evolution. We also have a personal mythologies. The active exploration of mythological characters, themes and stories can shed light on our psychological make up and be a powerful tool to heal our wounded emotional lives. The formation of a recursive dialogue between systems and mythology has the potential to stir the chaotic realms into the emergent formation of transformational lines of flight that break away from the entrenched patterns of habit that keep us walled up in a secluded castle entrapped in a web of fear. If we have the courage to go beyond our anxieties, we, as hero, can step forth from the castle into a perilous world where we will encounter inner dragons. By engaging with those dragons without flinching, we enable ourselves to bifurcate from our old world and resurrect ourselves in new and previously unimaginable emergent ways in which to experience our world and act in it. We can thus dance our dream, weaving new realities to live more meaningful, authentic lives.
