Abstract
OVERVIEW OF WORKSHOP
Higher education and engineering education is experiencing a state of disequilibrium due to the rapid and ongoing advancements in artificial intelligence, especially generative AI (GenAI). In this context, there is a clear need for assessment practices that are resilient means of facilitating and certifying student learning – not only for students and educators, but for industry, government and the broader society. Therefore, there is critical need to develop educator capabilities to design assessments activities and portfolios that assure student attainment of program and/or professional competencies. This workshop will equip participants with tools to design resilient assessment suites, as well as illustrating means of helping their colleagues do the same.
