This conference paper explores the challenges and opportunities presented by virtual international work-integrated learning (virtual IWIL). It reports on the findings of a broader research project examining the scope, policy and practice of international WIL funded by WACE. Virtual IWIL is a curriculum design that combines formal learning with student exposure to international partner organizations through digital platforms.
