Abstract

Policy and Administration awareness policy intelligent agent
In a response to a disaster, cooperation, upon which first responders rely to maintain awareness, may not be adequate. Much research in disaster management discusses about the role of awareness as recognizing relevant information in enhancing cooperation. There are also bodies of work that propose employing intelligent agents in disasters. However, how agents create awareness has been largely ignored. This paper invites researchers to propose a definitive method that recognizes the relevance of information in disaster situations. The idea of this proposal is supported by available empirical research in effective factors on quality of responders' decisions.
