Abstract

Tourism working holiday satisfaction perceived value youth tourism South Korea Australia
Although the number of Working Holiday Makers (WHMs) in Australia has been increasing steadily, limited research has been conducted on their satisfaction. This paper explores the perceived value of the working holiday program (WHP) in Australia according to South Korean WHMs, and examines the relationships between the perceived value and overall satisfaction. Five factors were identified in term of perceived value: culture and leisure, travel, study, general living, and work. Among them, study, culture and leisure, and work factors were found to be significant influential factors on the overall satisfaction of the WHP in Australia. The findings of this study provide suggestions on which activities and services need to be offered to WHMs to increase satisfaction, which in turn will increase intention to revisit and positive word-of-mouth about Australia.
