Abstract

Curriculum and Pedagogy Higher Education tertiary education first year assessment
Assessment feedback is a foundation of the learning and teaching process in higher education and is a platform from which self-efficacy and self-regulated learning can be promoted. The First Feedback Face-to-face strategy explores the advantages of providing university students with enhanced formative feedback through a face-to-face consultation on marked assessment. Additionally, students' perception of the purpose of feedback and their experience of receiving assessment feedback in their first year at higher education will be investigated.
