Abstract

Agriculture, Land and Farm Management world-class triple bottom line food system regional agriculture sustainability
Ever changing environment, increasing population, depleting natural resources and increasing food demands world-wide have posed severe challenges for policy makers in developing regional agriculture and food systems in a sustainable way. This paper, by applying a conceptual model for world-class agriculture and food systems developed by (Islam et al. 2011), attempted to identify and explain the gaps and opportunities for sustainable agriculture and food systems in the South-West region of Western Australia. The findings of the paper would help develop appropriate policies to address those gaps and opportunities for a regional agriculture and food system.
