Abstract
The World Ahead is a monumental map of the present world and the four major challenges - Peace, Poverty, Sustainable development and Political vision and courage - that we need to resolve to bequeath to our descendants a living open legacy. For humanity to survive the coming century, Mayor and Bindé argue that we must respond in good time to these challenges. From the authors' perspective, this book prepares us more thoroughly to creatively chart the human journey ahead of us, by providing a comprehensive description of the problems. In my opinion, the authors succeed in their objective, and provide a valuable text for policy makers and students of futures studies.
