Abstract
Designing successful simulations is critical to achieving an effective and high quality simulation experience or program in undergraduate nursing education. Many approaches can be used. Best practice standards, guidelines, and simulation templates provide useful guides and frameworks for simulation design. Of equal importance to the design process are the priorities, preferences and nuances of the organization for which a simulation is designed for, and the expertise of nursing educators responsible for creating and implementing simulations.
