Abstract
Recently, as general interest in health has been increasing all over the world, health tourism has rapidly increased. In Korea, health-related travel activities are drastically increasing and the Korea Forest Service and local governments are implementing healing programmes using forests. The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationships between the impact of healing tourists' emotion regulation seeking, attention restoration, programme satisfaction and life satisfaction. The study subject was 311 forest healing programme participants from the healing forest programme managed by the Korea Forest Service. The results suggest that emotion regulation seeking has a positive eect on healing programme satisfaction. Also, emotion regulation seeking has a positive eect on life satisfaction through attention restoration rather than directly. In addition, healing programme satisfaction has a positive eect on life satisfaction through attention restoration, but healing programmes do not directly inuence life satisfaction. The findings of this study imply that attention restoration plays an important role in mediating between healing programme satisfaction and life satisfaction.
