Abstract
Various external agencies have a role in improving police conduct and providing a fair forum for complaints against police. Presenting insight from the world's foremost scholars, this book uses case studies combined with hard and soft data on police behavior to explore the management of police conduct. Emphasizing the concept of shared responsibility for effective police integrity management, the authors discuss what works and what doesn't and present a best practices model for managing police conduct. They also describe the impact of oversight agencies on police policy. [Book Synopsis]
