Integrated leadership: Multiple styles for maximal effectiveness
Leadership in the Antipodes: findings, implications and a leader profile

Abstract
This book brings together leadership research conducted in Australasia in the last years of the 20th century. Good work is always being done by scholars looking at the nature of the leadership challenge that we face in organisations and in society. However, it is often scattered about the landscape, and published in a range or varied academic journals. Not often do we get the chance to bring it together and take stock of what we know about leadership in Australasia. This book attempts to achieve that task. The contributors are from a range of disciplines and represent New Zealand and Australia equally. They address issues of organisational or managerial leadership mainly, but the implications for the leadership of and within society are also tapped. All the authors present their findings from the prespective of the pracitioner in industry, whether a manager or organisational change professional. The research is of the highest quality, but it is presented in a way that is able to be interpreted and used by people on the street. The culmination of the book is a profile of the Antipodean leader of the 21st century - a profile which can be readily adopted by any practitioner. [Book Synopsis]
