Abstract
As social marketers, many of us can appreciate the sensitivity involved in conducting research. For myself, research into Widening Participation has provided me with a multifaceted insight into our nation’s educational inequalities, including the struggles of many disadvantaged groups. Their stories have undeniably enriched my understanding of the world around me, yet I have since come to question how much my position as researcher has held me back in my pursuit of knowledge.
