Transitional Selves: Possibilities for Identity in a Plurified World, pp.301-302
Routledge
2023
Abstract
Twenty individuals came together to create this book. We needed that many to capture the diverse and complex nature of transitional identity. In addition, the editors come from three different continents too! Each chapter offers some unique insight into the possibilities for identity in a plurified world. We are of course not seeking answers but insights. The plurified worlds we humans experience are at a transition point. Perhaps it is the Anthropocene? Or perhaps it is that such complex processes are at work that our actual consciousnesses are being pushed into new understandings and insights such as occurred with the emergence of the industrial world or when Christendom fell apart following the Reformation and with the rise of Western science?
