Abstract
This chapter explores the contemporary possibilities of acoustic ecology and new audio technologies in addressing some of our major challenges in environmental conversation and ecological engagement. The research highlights composers, sound artists and researchers who are working at the intersection of art, science and technology to bring a wider awareness to changing ecosystems across the planet. The featured projects have an interdisciplinary focus where education plays a significant role in actively engaging community and industry in the process and outcomes.
