Abstract
This chapter discusses a whole school intervention for "disadvantaged" children and the outcomes of the process from the perspective of past students some 20 years later. The goal is to illustrate that a focus on relationships and the emotional health of the students can lead to the redevelopment of self-worth from which a meaningful life can be fulfilled.
