Abstract
The research on working women's experience of the menopause and the impact this might have on their well-being, job performance and job satisfaction is sparse. The lack of evidence has been highlighted in the context of establishing the risk factors that contribute to adverse health outcomes of the menopause (Harlow et al., 1999) as well as increasing knowledge of women's life experiences in general (EU-OSHA, 2003).
