Abstract
Narratives are used to encourage students to consider; nurses' professional duty of care to do no harm (Goss 2007; ANMC 2003); how to reduce the transmission of bacteria to themselves, their own families and visitors, as well as the patient; and the use and financial and environmental cost of waste disposal services.
