${session.getAttribute("locale")} 5 Risk attitudes and sun protection behaviour: Can behaviour be altered by using a melanoma genomic risk intervention? 50 years: 11.11, p = 0.003); and lower in those with a personal/family history of skin cancer versus without (10.55 vs 13.33, p = 0.009). Risk averse individuals had lower weekly mean SEDs at 3-months than risk neutral and risk seeking individuals (2.56, 5.81, 4.81 respectively, p = 0.01). Risk seekers showed fewer sun protective habits (p < 0.001); and higher intentional tanning, (p = 0.01). At 3-months, risk seekers attained 16%–54% lower SEDs in the genomic information group compared with controls, however this was not significantly different across risk groups (interaction p = 0.13). Conclusion: An individual's underlying risk attitude is likely associated with sun-exposure behaviours, and may modify the effect of a genomic risk information behaviour change intervention. Young people and risk seekers may benefit most from being given information on their genetic risk of melanoma.]]> Wed 27 Nov 2019 16:01:37 AEST ]]> Substance misuse and social cognition on the psychosis-spectrum: A bottom-up framework Wed 27 Nov 2019 14:16:37 AEST ]]> Review article: Interventions for people presenting to emergency departments with a mental health problem: A systematic scoping review Wed 27 Nov 2019 14:02:42 AEST ]]> A randomized placebo-controlled trial of vitamin D supplementation for reduction of mortality and cancer: Statistical analysis plan for the D-Health Trial Wed 27 Feb 2019 11:30:46 AEST ]]> Blue sky thinking meets grounded reality: Relfections on a naive intersectional, interprofessional education pilot Wed 25 Sep 2019 14:51:53 AEST ]]> An online serious game improves clinical reasoning skills of dietetic students Wed 25 Sep 2019 08:47:41 AEST ]]> High-fidelity simulation improves confidence in monitoring and evaluation and reduces stress levels of pre-placement dietetic students Wed 25 Sep 2019 08:40:48 AEST ]]> Key occupational stressors in the ED: An international comparison Wed 23 Oct 2019 11:00:41 AEST ]]> Personal ultraviolet Radiation exposure in a cohort of Chinese mother and child pairs: the Chinese families and children study Wed 20 Mar 2019 14:54:07 AEST ]]> Advance care planning in the context of clinical deterioration: a systematic review of the literature Wed 20 Mar 2019 14:53:47 AEST ]]> Factors related to academic success among paramedic students Wed 19 Jun 2019 11:12:50 AEST ]]> Presenteeism among health care workers with laboratory-confirmed influenza infection: A retrospective cohort study in Queensland, Australia Wed 16 Oct 2019 16:30:43 AEST ]]> Additive effectiveness of mindfulness meditation to a school-based brief cognitive-behavioral alcohol intervention for adolescents Wed 13 Nov 2019 16:36:49 AEST ]]> Birthing the placenta: women’s decisions and experiences Wed 08 May 2019 13:23:52 AEST ]]> A fetal alcohol spectrum disorder diagnostic service and beyond: Outcomes for families Wed 07 Aug 2019 09:54:39 AEST ]]> Combining participatory action research and appreciative inquiry to design, deliver and evaluate an interdisciplinary continuing education program for a regional health workforce Wed 06 Nov 2019 14:30:41 AEST ]]> Mental health presentations to the emergency department: A perspective on the involvement of social support networks Wed 04 Sep 2019 16:50:39 AEST ]]> Supporting parents of children aged 2–13 with toileting difficulties: Group‐based workshops versus individual appointments Wed 04 Dec 2019 10:31:45 AEST ]]> Pre‐discharge home visits: A qualitative exploration of the experience of occupational therapists and multidisciplinary stakeholders Wed 03 Jul 2019 09:26:39 AEST ]]> Observed compliance with safe sleeping guidelines in licensed childcare services Tue 30 Jul 2019 15:42:39 AEST ]]> Echocardiographic Strain in Clinical Practice Tue 30 Jul 2019 10:48:39 AEST ]]> Skin colonization at peripheral intravenous catheter insertion sites increases the risk of catheter colonization and infection Tue 26 Nov 2019 13:46:37 AEST ]]> Facilitating treatment of HCV in primary care in regional Australia: Closing the access gap 12.5 kPa). The Hbmass and venipuncture assessments were completed upon arrival and departure (±2 d) from camp for ferritin, hepcidin, and erythroferrone (ERFE) concentrations. Validated food frequency, GI distress, menstrual blood loss (MBL) and training questionnaires were implemented throughout. Univariate analysis was used to compare Hbmass, with baseline ferritin, dietary iron intake, MBL, and training volume used as covariates. Results Both conditions increased Hbmass from baseline (P < 0.05), with SINGLE (867.3 ± 47.9 g) significantly higher than SPLIT (828.9 ± 48.9 g) (P = 0.048). The GI scores were worse in SINGLE for weeks 1 and 2 combined (SINGLE, 18.0 ± 6.7 points; SPLIT, 11.3 ± 6.9 points; P = 0.025); however, GI scores improved by week 3, resulting in no between-group differences (P = 0.335). Hepcidin significantly decreased over time (P = 0.043) in SINGLE, with a nonsignificant decrease evident in SPLIT (22%). ERFE significantly decreased in both groups (28.5%; P < 0.05). No between-group differences existed for ERFE, hepcidin, food frequency, MBL, or daily training outcomes (P > 0.05). Conclusions A single nightly 200-mg dose of elemental iron was superior to a split dose for optimizing Hbmass changes at altitude in runners over an approximately 3-wk training camp.]]> Mon 12 Aug 2019 13:27:39 AEST ]]> Narratives on why pregnant women delay seeking maternal health care during delivery and obstetric complications in rural Ghana Mon 12 Aug 2019 11:56:43 AEST ]]> Effects of combined aerobic and resistance training in patients with Heart Failure: A meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials Mon 10 Jun 2019 08:33:40 AEST ]]> Do the landing mechanics of experienced netball players differ from those of trained athletes competing in sports that do not require frequent landings? Secondary transfers including inter-hospital transport cases were excluded. RESULTS:: A total of 4348 cases met inclusion criteria. Median age was 74years (interquartile range 64-83). The most common paramedic assessments were 'respiratory' (20.1%), 'pain' (15.8%) and 'deceased' (7.9%); 74.4% ( n=3237) were transported, with the most common destination being a hospital (99.5%, n=3221). Of those with pain as the primary impression, 359 (53.9%) received an analgesic, morphine, fentanyl or methoxyflurane, and 356 (99.2%) were transported following analgesic administration. Resuscitation was attempted in 98 (29.1%) of the 337 cases coded as cardiac arrest. Among non-transported cases, there were 105 (9.6%) cases where paramedics re-attended the patient within 24h of the previous attendance. CONCLUSION:: Paramedics have a significant role in caring for patients receiving palliative care. These results should inform the design of integrated systems of care that involve ambulance services in the planning and delivery of community-based palliative care.]]> Mon 01 Apr 2019 15:40:14 AEST ]]> Critiquing the Red Lotus Health Promotion Model: A critical practice approach Fri 28 Jun 2019 13:15:49 AEST ]]> Intimacy and sex after a heart attack: Australian health professionals' current attitudes and practice Fri 28 Jun 2019 13:15:47 AEST ]]> Healthy Towns Happy People Process Evaluation Fri 28 Jun 2019 13:15:46 AEST ]]> Starting with the end in mind: Future focussed curriculum in Health Promotion Fri 28 Jun 2019 13:15:14 AEST ]]> Mothers' experiences with complementary feeding: Conventional and baby‐led approaches Fri 28 Jun 2019 13:10:35 AEST ]]> Benchmarking the research track record and level of appointment of Australian dietetic academics Fri 25 Oct 2019 12:53:35 AEST ]]> Interventions reducing sedentary behaviour of adults: An update of evidence Fri 25 Oct 2019 08:23:40 AEST ]]> Echocardiography: Navigating Complexities to Provide Many Useful Applications in Contemporary Clinical Cardiology Fri 23 Aug 2019 12:47:04 AEST ]]> Opportunistic immunising in the paediatric emergency department: Are patients due vaccines?
