The overall age-standardised elevated PSA prevalence (3.9%) was lower than for all other community-based studies that were compared. Predicted cancer prevalence ratios were 1.1 across all New Zealand ethnic comparisons. Conclusions: The prevalence of elevated PSA in New Zealand men is lower than found in other community-based studies, and not significantly different between the three New Zealand ethnic groups. However, levels of elevated PSA may be useful for predicting prostate cancer incidence rates in ethnic groups. Available incidence data show New Zealand European men to have a higher prostate cancer incidence rate than both Maori and Pacific Islands men; however, this study found that prostate cancer incidence ratios between these groups are more likely to be closer to 1. Findings may indicate cultural barriers in the health system for Maori and Pacific Islands men; highlighting the need for clinicians to further consider cultural appropriateness in practice, and to target prostate health promotion for these groups.]]> Tue 28 Jun 2016 14:23:47 AEST ]]> An exploratory study of students’ weekly stress levels and sources of stress during the semester Tue 27 Feb 2018 15:50:59 AEST ]]> The Large Allen Cognitive Level Screen as an indicator for medication adherence among adults accessing community mental health services Tue 21 Jul 2015 11:35:43 AEST ]]> The competency of New Zealand new graduate occupational therapists: Perceived strengths and weaknesses Tue 21 Jul 2015 11:35:38 AEST ]]> Benchmarking the research track record and level of appointment of Australian occupational therapy academics Tue 20 Mar 2018 10:08:41 AEST ]]> Measures of everyday competence in older adults with cognitive impairment: a systematic review Tue 18 Aug 2015 18:49:44 AEST ]]> Living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: experiences in northern regional Australia Tue 18 Aug 2015 18:49:44 AEST ]]> Homeless adults engagement in art: First steps towards identity, recovery and social inclusion Tue 18 Aug 2015 18:35:42 AEST ]]> A Cross-Sectional Comparison of Quality of Life between Physically Active and Under-active Older Men with Prostate Cancer Tue 18 Apr 2017 12:35:39 AEST ]]> Effect of Functional Task Exercise Program on Older Adults with Cognitive Impairment at Risk of Alzheimer Disease -
