- Description
- Constructed Floating Wetlands (CFWs) are an innovative stormwater treatment technology that provides a buoyant structure for selected plant species to remove pollutants from stormwater discharged into water bodies. A 2,100 m2 CFW was installed within a greenfield development on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland as part of a four-year research study. The study will evaluate the effectiveness of CFWs in reducing Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Total Phosphorus (TP) and Total Nitrogen (TN) concentrations from urban stormwater runoff.
