This production of the famous musical Cabaret was a no-holds barred portrayal of the politics and sexuality that characterized the subversive and decadent cabarets of the last days of the German Weimar Republic. Drawing from Zen Zen Zo’s innovative physical theatre style and utilizing Carnival Theory, the production celebrated the space of the marginalized "Others" - the artists, gypsies, queers, Jews – against the backdrop of Nazi Germany.
